WMCA Minutes 3-18-2009 (cont.)
                   with an offender, the States Attorney Office can issue a FLIP letter and follow through with                   federal prosecution. If this occurs, there will be a tougher sentence, in most cases, from the                   Federal courts.

In response to many questions from the audience, Mr. Lulie offered the following replies:

A. Mr. Mark Bridge, the Frederick City Crime Analyst, has been very helpful in predicting criminal activity with the use of technology.
B. As the Frederick City population increases, more crimes increase proportionally in the city.  
C. All Frederick City police vehicles are now equipped with computers and GPS systems which have access to large data bases.
D. The route 40 (Golden Mile) section has excessive crime and is a big focus of the police and prosecutors.  
E. The next May NAC meeting will be held in the Worman’s Mill Clubhouse and will focus on meth labs in terms of production and harmful impact to the community.
F. The Frederick News Post will soon print a regular article on Frederick’s Most Wanted.  

II. Announcements
Carol Goldstein made the following announcements:
A. Attention was called to the card which was distributed to all members and contained the new WMCA website (www.wmcassn.com).
B. Carol reviewed the material which was included in the WMCA website.
C. Carol reminded the audience of the Worman’s Mill Conservancy election that will be conducted in the near future.  She stressed that it was important for all our members to vote in this election since we will have more complete control of the conversancy in the 2010 year.                                                                                                               More
