WMCA Board Minutes 9-9-2009 (cont.)

Judy Haines, WMCA Treasurer, reported a balance of $4, 315.65 in the treasury of the WMCA.

V. Material for October Mill Monitor
Carol Goldstein will include the following information in the October Mill Monitor:  an article on Colonel Rizzo, the November speaker from Fort Detrick; a list of the WMCA General Meeting dates for 2010; the nominations for the 2010 WMCA Officers; and a reminder that the WMCA would like to have the e-mail address of all citizens in the Worman’s Mill community (that we don’t already have on our list) for communication purposes.

VI. Web-site and E-Mail List Update
Allan Carlson reported that we currently have 231 e-mail addresses in the community that we communicate with on a regular basis.  Carol Goldstein stated that she would request additional e-mail addresses from the community in her next October Mill Monitor article.  Allan also indicated that we are receiving about 500 visitations per week to our WMCA web-site.  After considerable discussion, Carol Goldstein indicated that she would attempt to arrange for only key e-mail news postings on topics that were very relevant to the Worman’s Mill community.

VII. Mayoral Candidates’ Forum
A. Confirmed Participants:  Carol Goldstein confirmed that all candidates (with the exception of one) have confirmed their participation in the WMCA Mayoral Forum.
B.  Questions:  Carol indicated that all six questions have been mailed to the confirmed participants and that two members of the press will be in attendance.  
C. Review of Format Procedures:  Carol will introduce the two candidates and Tom Schuerger as the moderator of the forum.  She will be the time keeper for the forum.  Forty-five minutes will be allocated for the pre-arranged questions.  Tom will have            More
